Mada Gypsum Co, the leading producer of gypsum plasterboards and related gypsum based products in the Region, announced the building of a new environmentally friendly gypsum plant in Saudi Arabia, which will supply the increasing demand for gypsum & modern building materials and systems in the GCC, Middle East and Africa.
The SAR 250 million new investment will employ around 200 employees and will have an annual capacity of approximately 30 million m2 of gypsum plasterboards and related gypsum based products and systems. The new plant in Saudi Arabia will have a radical impact on increasing the overall gypsum manufacturing capacity in Saudi Arabia.
Mada Gypsum Co is the industry's leader and a benchmark for its quality in the region and combines its manufacturing acumen with a strong network of distributors and installers across the regions. It already operates two gypsum plasterboard lines in Yanbu, western side of Saudi Arabia, with a combined capacity of 34 million m2 / year of Gypsum Boards and other related Gypsum based products. With this new investment, the company will become the country's largest manufacturing company of gypsum, gypsum boards and gypsum systems, cementing it's position as the leader of the industry in the entire Middle East region.

The Plant will have a capacity of 30 million m2 / year and is scheduled to commence operation in Q3/2016. Mada Gypsum Co is also proud of the environmental benefits associated with this new plant. This is a genuinely green project. The gypsum on site will be processed and removed, returning the site to its natural state."
